Intentions

1. to create a series of high quality prints inexpensively
all designs will pass through the computer.
for series one, I will create landscapes using 3d software.
from the files generated, I will trace the bitmap files to create vector illustrations. Decisions about which colors will be laid down will need to be made at this point. Some areas of color will be applied mechanically, using toner. For the trial run, these will be larger, darker areas. Other areas of color will be applied using an airbrush and a hand-cut mask. Once the mask is cut, color application will be swift.
All other color areas will be applied by hand using watercolor or graphite.
The final work will contain elements of toner-based laser printing, airbrush and water color. I hope to create editions of 4 to 10.

2. to incorporate collage elements.
all background landscapes will be produced as explained above. Middle and foreground elements will need to be applied by hand or with the use of collage. A similar technique will be used to create these elements. Computer designed, computer gernerated drawings and hand painting.
